The Chisel Comp is the lightest, fastest alloy full suspension bike in its class, delivering 18.4% weight savings compared to the closest competitor. It shares geometry and kinematics from Specialized's World Cup-ready Epic 8 mountain bike, combining performance for both competitive racing and recreational trail riding. The frame features D'Aluisio Smartweld technology with continuously-varied wall thicknesses and shaping that provide stiffness for efficiency and compliance for comfort. A one-piece hydroformed seat tube integrates the seat tube pivot, main pivot, and BB shell, eliminating extra weight and welded components found on traditional designs. With 110mm of Ride Dynamics tuned suspension, the Chisel delivers high-performance capability traced directly to the Epic 8's advanced suspension kinematics and progressive geometry. The bike features a flex stay rear end design that achieves class-leading suspension performance while eliminating the extra weight and maintenance of traditional pivot designs. The geometry and kinematics optimize pedaling efficiency, with a steep seat tube positioning the rider for maximum power transfer. Engineered anti-squat reduces pedal-bob, translating every watt applied to the pedals into forward motion. The suspension and frame design work together to deliver both speed and control across varied terrain.
