The Rockhopper features a reliable and crisp Shimano drivetrain with a robust 2x9 setup that handles everything you throw at it. Confident braking comes from Shimano hydraulic disc brakes. The frame is constructed from lightweight yet durable Premium A1 Aluminum with butted tubing and hydroformed top and downtubes that keep weight low while maintaining strength. The design includes increased standover clearance, slick internal cable routing, and dropper-post compatibility. Each Rockhopper frame size is paired with the optimal wheel size to ensure the best fit and performance for every rider. This means every Rockhopper rolls on the best-handling wheel for its specific frame size. The SR Suntour XCM fork brings Rx Tune technology to the Rockhopper for the first time, featuring custom Multi-Circuit damping with size-specific travel and spring rates. This ensures consistent geometry, handling, and suspension performance regardless of frame or wheel size. The wheelset combines dead-reliable Formula hubs with 25-millimeter internal diameter rims for a strong, light, and durable combination.
